My name is David Gouldson also known on stage and screen as David Gould. I have had many years of experience as a professional singer. If you feel you would like me to incorporate this skill into your ceremony, then I can definitely help you with this. 

 

My first gig as a professional vocalist was when I landed a role as an MC and lead singer for a show that played seven nights a week to an audience of over 1000 people each night. 

 

I studied voice at the Victorian College of the Arts, then voice and acting in London.

I'm a multi-award nominated Music Theatre and Operatic singer, entertainer, and MC. I was given an Aria Award for my contribution to the Multi-Platinum cast recording of the Arena Spectacular - Jesus Christ Superstar with John Farnham, and two musicals I featured in were given Platinum Awards (The Mikado and HMS Pinafore) where I played alongside Jon English. I was also nominated for 'Best Supporting Actor in a Musical' for both a Green Room Award and a Mo Variety Club Award for a critically acclaimed performance of The Mikado. Recently, I was nominated for a 'Best Supporting Actor in an Opera' Green Room Award, for what was reviewed as an outstanding performance of Sir Joseph Porter in HMS Pinafore.

As a professional entertainer I've travelled the globe performing with major musical companies in principal roles throughout Australia and Asia as well as crossing over into operatic repertoire with Opera Australia, Opera North, Melbourne Opera, and the Victoria State Opera companies.

I've performed for several years in my one man show featuring the country music of Elvis and Johnny Cash - called Ultimate Elvis Country, both at the Capital Theatre in Tamworth and at the Parkes Elvis Festival.

I've spent the last 20 years performing for hundreds of corporate events, having shared the stage with Jon English, Jon Stevens, Angry Anderson, Dennis Walter, John Farnham, Kate Ceberano, Russell Morris, Denise Drysdale, Julie Anthony and John Waters among others. I've sung on the late, great Bert Newton's Good Morning Australia on many occasions and written comedy for TV's - The Comedy Company as well as acting more notably in Neighbours and SeaChange and other Australian television shows. I've performed stand-up comedy in Daryl Somers iconic 'Hey Hey It's Saturday', and featured in the television show, 'The Kings of Comedy'.​

 

I specialise in customised Celebrant & Entertainment packages to cover your entire day. I can 'Sing you down the aisle', then provide a feature set for drinks and canapés in the easy listening style of Michael Bublé and Sinatra, and then perform a feature act set during main course and to top it off a romantic song for the first dance, whilst hosting the whole event as Master of Ceremonies.

As the Australian Show Manager and performer in the Internationally acclaimed award-winning wedding entertainment feature act - The Three Waiters, I have performed at hundreds of weddings both in Australia and Internationally and for several Bridal Trade Shows.
